Thank You

Today was a record day for site hits. Thank you all who have shared this website with your friends on forums and blogs out there on the internetz. I much appreciate the love and support you all have given me. I hope that in some small way I may continue to be of service to you.

Ernie, thank you and your wife for taking time out of your busy life to bring us the news and views you both have, as we all enjoy your insights.

Little did I know, growing up in the late 50's and through the 60's, that my simplistic and happy life would become a complicated nightmare trying to make ends meet, and gov. closing in trying to control my every thought. I'm sure my parents and grandparents are rolling over in their graves as we teeter on the brink of socialism/Marxism/Communism.

There's two things they will never have, my faith in my Savior, and my will to be free. And one more...my family.

Although I don't agree with all your ideals, I love that you explain them and offer links. I have referred my DH and sister to your blog and we all read it everyday. Good luck on your move.

Kmac's DH Keep up the good work Ernie. Like Kmac stated "don't agree with all your ideals", if we did, it would be a boring world. I like the links, it lets me see for myself and just maybe change my ideals or reinforce my ideals. Either way it's working.

You know, I'm actually pretty pleased that people whose viewpoints don't line up perfectly with mine are composing a good portion of my readership.

I think that's important. If a person agrees 100% with me then there's really no need for them to waste time reading what I have to say. The people who I want to reach are the ones who are within striking range - the ones who can be moved slightly along specific lines and who are close enough to my viewpoint to matter.

I know that there are plenty out there who are just 180 degrees off from my viewpoint and I'm never going to reach them. Never. That's ok. They have their own forums and blogs.

All in all, I'm sure the founding fathers had some great arguments and debates regarding various liberty-minded ideals, but when push came to shove they were all side by side on the battlefield opposing the tyrant.

That's what I'm here for. Minor disagreements in ideology are of no importance. I encourage you to participate via comments or by sending me email at bunkerindex@hushmail.com ... by this manner we become "steel sharpening steel".
