If I asked you to choose between a good job and a good life, which would you choose?

This question often makes people angry. Why do you think that is? Did it make you angry? Why do you think that is?

Generally, I'd choose a good life, but since those terms are rather relative and conditional, I'd probably want more details! ;-)

I'd take the life. It didn't make me angry. I think it might only make people angry who identify themselves (and other people) as the job that they work. My favorite job was in retail of all places, managing a bookstore. But I never thought of myself as "retail management". I just loved books, and did that for a living... so I could enjoy the rest of my good life.

Now I'm at home raising my children. Sometimes, it's kind of a conversation killer when in the company of female professionals. A lot of assumptions are made...
