I'd take the life. It didn't make me angry. I think it might only make people angry who identify themselves (and other people) as the job that they work. My favorite job was in retail of all places, managing a bookstore. But I never thought of myself as "retail management". I just loved books, and did that for a living... so I could enjoy the rest of my good life.
Now I'm at home raising my children. Sometimes, it's kind of a conversation killer when in the company of female professionals. A lot of assumptions are made...

Generally, I'd choose a good life, but since those terms are rather relative and conditional, I'd probably want more details! ;-)
